Objets d'art, ceramics and glass

The things that live in a cabinet: porcelain and pottery, art glass, bronzes, carvings, and the small decorative objects the trade calls smalls, which is where the name comes from.

What comes up

English and Continental porcelain, Royal Doulton, Minton and Wedgwood, Asian ceramics and works of art, netsuke and inro, jade and hardstone carvings, bronzes and spelter, Murano and Lalique glass, and silver and plate.

Marks and condition

Marks are photographed and quoted, not interpreted away. Chips, hairlines, restoration and re-gilding are recorded. Restoration on ceramics is common and buyers price it in, but only when they are told.
