These unpublished photographs were taken circa Nov 9th, 1965 and are likely of Herr Harms-Emden, "the sole surviving German seaman from the battle still living" who attended the Canberra ceremonies in 1964. The pictured ribbon reads 'Dedicated by the last survivers (sic) of H.M.A.S. Sydney to the memory of the gallant men of S.M.S. Emden who fell in action on Nov 9th 1914 / Also to those who have since passed away. Once enemies now friends. Nov 9th 1914'
