- No '16#' Sydney, '10 May' 181'3' ENOCH KINSELA I Promise to Pay to Bearer the Sum of One Shilling on Demand, One S 'En Kinsela'. Enoch Kinsella arrived in Sydney in 1806 as a convicted bigamist. He was described as an educated man and by 1807 he was made manager of the Government Salt Works at Rose Bay before he went on to successfully establish himself in business. He issued 'One Shilling' and 'One Shilling & Sixpence' Promissory Notes all dated 1813 of which the 'One Shilling' is the rarer denomination, Enoch Kinsella arrived in Sydney in 1806 as a convicted bigamist.
