- Dedication to "William H Harris, 511 Harris St Ultimo". William H Harris was a direct descendent of the original landholder the surgeon John Harris who was granted 34 acres of land in 1803 which he cheekily named 'Ultimo' in celebration of being acquitted in a court case on a technicality: namely, that the papers issued had used the Latin term 'ultimo', meaning 'last month', when they should have used the term 'instant', meaning 'this month.'
