- The guitar is in perfect playing condition and is concert-ready being strung with gut, nylgut, and silvered nylgut from Aquila's 19th century guitar string range. The guitar has original and fully functioning hand-cast solid brass and bone machine heads. The top (sound-board) of the guitar is made of European spruce with a mother of your pearl and mastic rosette around the sound hole. The sides and back are a spruce and rosewood veneer typical of the period and highlighted by an inlaid detailed marquetry strip around the belly. Other original features are bone and mother of pearl pins on an ebony bridge, an ebony fingerboard with brass frets and bone tuners and strap buttons. The guitar comes housed in a contemporary Lyon & Healy canvas carry case.
