Provenance:
- Discerning collectors of Australian banknotes would be fully aware how few genuine George V notes have survived in high grade. It is a conservative estimate that at least 90% of banknotes of this era that are described as Extremely fine of better have been pressed and flattened in an attempt to improve their appearance. They are usually one or two full grades below what is being advertised. This note came directly from a Reserve Bank employee and is as crisp and new as the day it was issued excepting for a small corner fold on the bottom left hand corner. Exhibited:
