- It is noted that there are three proof coins identified by the PCGS No. 524531.63 as the 'London' variety, however the other two coins have been wrongly labelled and can be clearly identified as 'Canberra' struck if you refer to the PCGS picture gallery. A quick way to establish if a coin is the 'London' variety is that it has only 'one' eyelash whereas the 'Canberra' variety has 'two'. Also the Royal Australian Mint (RAM) Proof has heavy frosting on the raised designs against a mirror background whereas the Royal Mint (RM) Proof exhibits no two-tone effect with only minimal frosting on a polished blank (reminiscent of coins in British Proof sets of the era). As well the overall obverse design on the RM Proof is smaller thus causing the legend to sit further from the perimeter of the coin when compared to the RAM Proof.
