Notes:
- The major production of 1920 pennies struck by the Sydney Mint were the 1920 /./ variety with an Indian obverse. The Sydney Mint was still using light weight Taylor and Challon presses suitable for striking gold coins, but not the heavier bronze pennies, and consequently these coins were poorly struck. In particular the obverses often appear slightly convex with the edges of the coins (denticles) poorly defined. The unaltered Calcutta reverse die used on this variety exhibits flat based letters in the legend.
